Alumni Association Presents Awards:
During the annual school service of Sea Breeze Camp, the HSBC/A Alumni Association presented awards to two faculty members. Association President Harold Martin presented a plaque to Mrs. Kathy Wright as Alumnus of the Year. Kathy graduated in 1979 with a B.A. degree in Secondary Education. For the past twenty years she has taught high school English at Hobe Sound Christian Academy. She has three sons, Daniel, Steven, and John.

John Paul Churchill made a presentation to Mr. John Jones as Teacher of the year. John graduated in 1980 with a B.A. in Secondary English Education. He has been on the staff for 18 years, having taught for 5 years in the High School. For the past 13 years he has taught Western Civilization and served as Dean of Students. He and his wife Carol have three children, Brent, Brandon and Briann.
Rev. Rodney Addison was honored as "Pastor of the Year" at the annual conference of the South Coastal District of the Wesleyan Church, held July 2007. Rodney and Evangeline (Pierpoint) Addison pastor the Westtown Community Church in Augusta, Georgia, a church which they planted ten years ago.
Steve and Tracy (Barger) Stratton serve in the role of assistant pastor/youth pastor at the Palestine Pilgrim Holiness Church, Palestine, Illinois. They are the parents of Carson Dirk, and Kristen Brooke.
Kevin Haight, in December 12, 2007, was promoted from Trooper to Sergeant with the Idaho State Police, He is currently assigned to the Disctrict 4 office, in south-central Idaho, where he works near Twin Falls. He is also a certified crash/criminal scene recontructionist and member of the Idaho State Police Honor Guard team. Kevin and his wife, Anita own a licensed assisted living facility, Willowbrooks Assisted Living Facility. They are members of the Twin Falls Nazarene Church and have three girls, Courtney (13), Kayla (11), and Ashley (8).
Classes of 1968 Have Reunion:
College and High School Classes of 1968 held a joint reunion during Sea Breeze Camp. Nineteen members (plus some spouses) met for a 40th year reunion on February 15 and 16. On Friday evening the classes met for a buffet supper at the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church in Hobe Sound. President Stetler brought greetings from the school. The group met again Staurday for a cookout at Norman Brush's home in Palm City. The highlight was sharing testimonies after supper Friday evening. Class members present were stephen and Susan (Lucas) Allison, Norman Brush, Tim Cressman, Tim Deckard, Judy (Newton) Halverstadt, Ken Hemrick, Ed Hobelman, Raymond Lucas, Susie (Cone) Mattingly, Steve Melton, Julian and Estaline (Allison) Rogers, Brenda (Hemrick) Snedeker, Merle and Faith (Woodward) Troyer, and Loyal and Sherrie Waud.
